STORYLINES: Ben Tuaone (2017 Endless Summer Invitational champion) hopes to make it two-wins in-a-row on the WLDA. Nine of the top-10 in the Official World Long Drive Rankings are in the field, including 2016 Champion Trent Scruggs, though the East Coast Classic has never had a hitter successfully defend their title.

WHAT’S AT STAKE: Five Exemptions into the Volvik World Long Drive Championship are up for grabs. Two (2) exemptions will be awarded following both Friday and Saturday’s local qualifiers, and one (1) exemption will be awarded to the highest finisher (not already exempt) from the 2017 East Coast Classic Tour event.
WORLD LONG DRIVE RANKING POINTS: Will be awarded based on finish: 1st – 800, 2nd – 600, 3rd & 4th – 400, 5th – 8th – 200, 9th – 16th – 100, 17th – 32nd – 50.
PURSE & PAYOUT: 100% of entry fees will be paid out in U.S. Dollars (Based on a full field of 32 players) 1st – $10,000, 2nd – $5,000, 3rd & 4th $2,500, 5th – 8th $1,250
ELIGIBILITY: Competitors in the Top-50 (and ties) in the Official World Long Drive Rankings as of February 28 are eligible to compete.
