PORT ROWAN, Ontario (July 7, 2024) - For the second time in 2024, Colton Casto is a World Long Drive (WLD) champion. Casto, ranked No. 4 in the world entering the weekend, beat Roni Shin 415 yards to 406 yards in the final of WLD Port Rowan in Port Rowan, Ontario, on Sunday afternoon.


With the win, Casto becomes the first WLD athlete this season, regardless of division, to win multiple events.


Casto was sharp when it mattered most most, hitting a 412-yard drive on his final ball of the quarterfinals to advance past Jacob Golliday (399 yards). For the event, Casto averaged 419 yards per drive with a longest drive of 442 yards.


Jeff Gavin captured his first Senior Division victory of the season, taking down Troy Caley in the final with a 431-yard drive. The Ontario native also won the 2023 Senior Division title in Port Rowan. Gavin, who entered the weekend ranked No. 2 in the Senior Division after a runner-up finish in the most recent Senior Division event, had a longest drive 441 yards and averaged more than 413 yards per drive.


Tanner Pipes earned his first career Amateur Division presented by Speed Toad title as he outlasted Shea Emery 366 yards to 353 yards in the final. Pipes hit his longest drive of the weekend (370 yards) during qualifying.


MISCELLANEOUS


Ryan Gregnol hit the longest drive of the event: 444 yards.


Jeff Gavin hit the longest drive in the Senior Division: 441 yards.

The next World Long Drive tour event is WLD Fort Jackson, scheduled for July 19-22 at Fort Jackson Golf Club in Columbia, South Carolina.
